Merri Smith

COO & Co-Founder

Merri Smith is COO and Co-Founder of Tulerie. Merri is a former accountant who migrated to Fashion. Prior to co-founding Tulerie, Merri worked for luxury retailer Saks Fifth Avenue for 6+ years in corporate roles. Most recently, she spent four years as Director of Client Experiences at Saks where she led a high-touch client experience program and oversaw the development strategy for 250+ UHNW luxury retail clients. For the previous two and half years, Merri held roles in Marketing Strategy & Operations at Saks where she worked cross-functionally with all areas of marketing to organize large scale initiatives and lead vendor analytics.

Prior to joining Saks, Merri worked for CoSTUME National coordinating all Market related efforts for all categories of business (Women’s, Men’s, Handbags, Accessories) and managed operations behind the launch of Balmain’s diffusion line, Pierre Balmain, in North America.

Prior to entering into Fashion, Merri spent five years in accounting roles, starting her career at Deloitte & Touche, LLC. Merri holds a Bachelor of Science (2006) from the University of Central Florida.

Violet Gross

CEO & Co-Founder

Violet Gross is CEO and Co-Founder of Tulerie. Violet is a former accountant who migrated to fashion tech. Prior to co-founding Tulerie, she co-founded MyMenu Dining, an app-based platform aiming to make dining out easier for people with food allergies.

Before becoming an entrepreneur, Violet worked in finance for Lakeview Investment Group as Director of Operations and was Senior Accountant at Levy Family Partners, a family office. She spent the first eight years of her career in the automotive industry working with Chrysler, Infiniti and Bentley Motors managing operations and leading expansion plans throughout the Chicagoland area.

Violet is a Chicago native, now living in New York. She holds an MBA in Marketing, Entrepreneurship and Management (2014) from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and Business/Management (2006) from DePaul University.
